The Floyd Refillery
The Floyd Refillery is located at the Farmers Market pavilion in downtown Floyd. We are open during market hours on Saturdays from 10am – 1pm.
About The Floyd Refillery
SustainFloyd supports the idea that the best way to reduce plastic waste is by avoiding single use plastics like shopping bags, take-away food containers and product packaging. With so much uncertainty about what happens to plastic waste that we try to recycle, it is important that we use as little plastic as is practical. So we decided to do our part by making refillable cleaning and personal care products available the community.
The Floyd Refillery is located in the ‘red shed’ at the Floyd Farmers Market Pavilion. It is open when the Farmers Market is open–on Saturday morning and Thursday evening during the summer market and on Saturday mornings only during the winter market.
We choose products free of toxic ingredients from companies who offer low waste delivery solutions, such as accepting empty carboys of product for refilling, or using five gallon buckets which can easily be repurposed.
Our products are priced to be affordable. We keep our mark-up low because we believe that these products are important and we want them to be accessible. Any profit we make at the store goes directly to supporting the Floyd Farmers Market and other projects of Sustain Floyd Foundation.
How It Works
Bring your own container or choose one of ours.
Tare
Place your container on our scale and zero out the weight. This ensures your container is not included with the product weight.
Fill
Fill your container with as much product as you need from our bulk storage cannisters.
Weigh
Place your filled container back on the scale and enter the bulk price per pound. Your price will be automatically calculated.
Pay
Pay for your item by cash, check, or credit card at the information booth in front of The Refillery.
Bulk Refill Products
We currently stock the following bulk refill products. You can bring your own container for refill, or we have a selection of new and clean, used containers you can use. Note that brands, scents, and availability may vary.
We are now accepting advance orders for your bulk refills. Fill out our online order form and we will pre-fill your containers and have them ready to pick up on the date you specify. Payment can be made at time of pickup.
Packaged Products
We offer a range of low-waste packaged products, including household cleaning products, toiletries and hygiene products, reusable glass or aluminum containers, water bottles and travel mugs, and more.
Our inventory is constantly growing and changing. Please email us if you are looking for something specific or have a product recommendation.
