Paper: Newspaper

Newspaper can be reused as fire lighting material for wood stoves and open fires. They are also useful for packaging, protecting surfaces during craft projects, and for washing windows. They can be used in creative projects, such as pinatas, paper mache and decorated for gift wrapping. Surplus newspapers can by recycled at the Floyd Country Transfer Station, Greenbox Convenience Centers, and in Food Lion’s mixed paper bin.

Preparation

Paper placed in recycling bins should be clean and dry.
