Textiles: Linens and Home Goods
Floyd Animal Control and the Floyd County Humane Society can use clean sheets, lightweight blankets, and towels for animal bedding and transport. Linens and home textiles in good condition such as sheets, towels, blankets, comforters, curtains, and table linens can be donated to local secondhand stores for resale. Old towels can be cut into cleaning rags for your home to minimize paper towel use. Worn and damaged towels and sheets can be recycled through mail-in textile recycling programs.
Preparation
All textiles for reuse, resale, or recycle must be clean and dry. Items donated for resale should be gently used and in good condition with no tears or holes.
