Books: Good Condition
Pass a good book along to a friend or take to a secondhand book store or local “Little Free Library.” Floyd now has its own secondhand book store, The Book House. Angels in the Attic accepts book donations and will take books they cannot use to a non profit in Roanoke who uses them for fundraising. Goodwill accepts books at all locations which are used for their online book business as well as stocking their local stores. Books are also collected at SustainFloyd monthly Reuse/Recycle events, including a twice-a-year book swap and give-away.
Preparation
Books should be clean and in good condition with no rips or tears. Please check with individual drop off locations for policies on used textbooks or out of date books and manuals.

SustainFloyd collection excess is delivered to TAP in Roanoke, a nonprofit which helps people achieve economic and personal independence through education, employment, affordable housing, and healthy environments, or to Goodwill Industries. The books are sold in Goodwill stores and online to raise funds for the work of these organizations. Angels in the Attic also collects books in good condition. The Book House in Floyd also takes books. Used books in good condition can be left anytime on the back porch of the house at 132 N Locust Street, Floyd, VA.
