Metals: Aluminum

Household aluminum, including soda and beer cans, are collected for recycling at the Floyd Transfer station and at Green Box Convenience Centers. Other options are available for selling large quantities of aluminum, though it can take more than 500 cans to earn $10. Distinguish aluminum from other metals by using a magnet: aluminum items are not attracted to a magnet, whereas steel, iron and other metals are attracted to a magnet.
