The company Subset will accept underwear, bras, socks, and tights of any brand, in any condition for recycling into insulation padding and furniture batting. They offer discounts of up to $25 off orders from their online store for used items.

Items should be clean and dry and packaged for shipping. Sign up for an account on the Subset website to receive a shipping label. The cost for shipping is $5.

Sustainability is at the heart of all we do at Subset, which is why we’ve partnered with industry-leading textile circularity platform, Supercircle, to recycle our old innerwear and reward you in the process. Together, we’ve recycled over 1 million items (and counting).
[Items are] sorted by material and other key recycling factors, like color and wear. Once enough material of a certain kind has been collected (think 500 cotton t-shirts), our recycling partners will ensure that the material that can be upcycled will make its way into new items & textiles, and the rest will be downcycled into other mixed-use items. We guarantee that all items are diverted from landfill and find a new life! Our goal is for you to be able to follow the entire lifecycle of your specific product through the recycling process.
