Plastic: Film
Plastic bags and film are accepted at the plastic film bin in front of Food Lion. SustainFloyd collects plastic film for local schools and businesses to participate in the NexTrex Recycling Challenge Program. Organizations can sign up with TREX to participate in this challenge themselves. The challenge involves collecting 1,000 lbs of film in a 12 month period.
Preparation
Plastic bags should be clean and dry. They should be sorted according to the TREX requirements. Soft, slightly stretchy bags are accepted (#2 and #4 plastic). Hard, crinkly or thick plastic is not accepted.
